Responsibilities
  • Contact customers regarding quality issues, visiting the customer where required.
  • Co-ordinate with customer and Ball Manufacturing to ensure test cans/ends of the correct quantity/specification are available.
  • Arrange for filling at customer location and where necessary, assist with its completion.
  • Organise shipment/evaluation of filled stock at the laboratory.
  • When supplied with the results of the evaluation, make recommendations on how the results should be progressed with the relevant customer.
  • Audit customer filling facilities/warehouses for problems that may result in a reduction in filling speed, damage to cans or ends and unsafe seam quality.
  • Examine customer and Ball filling facilities/warehouses to determine areas of enhancement. Perform regular audit as per Ball procedure.
  • Advise customer of findings/recommendations on improvements, supplying costing for work involved, when required.
  • Train customer on GMP, stress corrosion, seaming, can handling.
  • Along with the Regional CTS Manager decide what trials are required, filling line trials or test packs, and bench tests. Inform the relevant Ball Manufacturing site in order to set appropriate production specifications (master data).
  • Co-ordinate with customer/allocated contacts to ensure that trial can or end components of the correct quantity/specification are available.
  • Along with the CTS Regional Manager /Ball Group Quality, review any new/modified customer specifications.
  • Generate complaint notifications for internal distribution.
  • Review complaints with the Ball manufacturing plant and/or customer.
  • Administer the sorting/destruction of any filled stock agreed as unusable.

Ball Corporation has released its 2025 Combined Annual and Sustainability Report, highlighting record financial performance with comparable diluted earnings per share and adjusted free cash flow. The aluminium packaging company reported net sales of $13.16 billion and shipped 111.9 billion units worldwide. The company invested $474 million across its global operations and maintained strong sustainability metrics, with 74% of aluminium in its beverage packaging business sourced from recycled materials and 84% of electricity from renewable sources. Ball also increased its Aluminum Stewardship Initiative-certified purchases to 34%. The Ball Foundation invested over $4.1 million in community support, whilst employees contributed 24,000 volunteer hours. The company delivered 380,000 training hours through Ball Academy and launched three leadership programmes for 2,000 leaders.
