Requirements
  • 3-5 years of channel sales experience; Software sales experience preferred

Responsibilities
  • Develop new commercial partnerships that drive new merchants to Lightspeed, both referral and reseller partners
  • Through outbound prospecting and inbound qualification, recruit new integration and reseller partnerships
  • Meet quotas defined by leadership
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly pipeline reporting and forecasts
  • Ensure smooth handover to the allocated Partner Trainer, Partner Growth Manager and Partner Marketing Manager
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as an advocate for those partners within Lightspeed
  • Responsible for delivering defined ROI, key learning’s, reporting and evaluation of partnership impact to drive market share growth, brand awareness and sales
  • Strong understanding of current trends, patterns, and events in the industry
  • Attend marketing and industry events
  • Be a subject matter expert in the POS domain to understand how Lightspeed’s suite of products can be applied to all stages of our customer’s retail or restaurant operations
  • Handle other duties and responsibilities as defined by management
Desired Qualifications
  • SaaS sales experience
  • Expert level knowledge of Salesforce, Mac OS, G Suite, Slack and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry

Bengaluru, Thursday, 18th April 2024: Beyond Odds Technologies, founded by former OYO and Unacademy senior executive Vivek Sinha, announced their seed investment of $11 million led by Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed, to build an employability-led training, certification, and recruitment platform for grey collared workforce. Other investors that participated in the round included InnoVen Capital (a Temasek subsidiary) and Alteria Capital. The company is also backed by reputed angel investors including Ritesh Agarwal (Founder, OYO), Gaurav Munjal (Founder, Unacademy), Mayank Kumar (Founder, Upgrad), Ramakant Sharma (Founder, Livspace), Abhishek Goyal (Founder, Tracxn), Rohit MA (Founder, CloudNine Hospitals), Sumer Juneja (Managing Partner, SoftBank), Puneet Kumar (Managing Director, Steadview Capital), and Abhinav Sinha (COO, OYO). The company aims to solve for the shortage of skilled labour-force in key nation-building sectors such as healthcare, education, hospitality, and construction. The platform will train candidates at scale and with high standards through programs that include ‘hands-on’ training with industry partners. In addition to tech-enabled training, it will also open physical centres to help create a ‘job-ready’ talent pool.
