Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technician role performing equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • The ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical prints is required.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to work the twelve-hour rotational shift schedule is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the employer cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.
Responsibilities
  • Work on a maintenance team alongside Operations technicians and Engineers in a cross-functional team setting to minimize machine downtime and improve line output.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and properly document machine issues.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose Programmable Logic Controller and Human Machine Interface control-system software when possible.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance as required.
  • Communicate machine issues and downtime to other shifts and to the supervisor or management.
  • Assist with offline machine rebuilds or preparation work.
  • Provide support for plant manufacturing equipment systems under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Travel minimally as needed to support equipment build or integration and training.
Desired Qualifications
  • A technical apprenticeship or associate degree in a related electrical or mechanical field is preferred, although job experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in medical device or another regulated industry with documentation.
  • Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Programmable Logic Controller troubleshooting skills.
  • Programming and troubleshooting robots, including SCARA, FANUC, Staubli, and IAI robots, and servo motors.
  • Injection molding machine experience with electric and hydraulic systems.
