Requirements
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong technical background in Performance Testing/QA, Site Reliability, Observability, Coding
Responsibilities
  • Ensures the quality of the products that technology delivers, working closely with all applications, common services/middleware, SRE and infrastructure teams throughout the development/engineering lifecycle
  • Helps teams to determine what new features can be incorporated and when by using service-level agreements (SLAs) to define the required reliability of the system through service-level indicators (SLI) and service-level objectives (SLO)
  • Applies software engineering to automate IT operations tasks - e.g. production system management, performance management, observability, incident response, and emergency response
  • Designs, develops, executes, and maintains test plans of infrastructure, common services/middleware, data, and applications in various environments
  • Records and documents testing results (including anomalies and issues) and compares them to expected results
  • Detects solution failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected
  • Generates historical analysis of test results and maintains a list/repository of defects
  • Reviews and interprets all documentation related to testing, including business requirements and functional and design specifications, to provide input to the project team on the planning of testing activities
  • Provides guidance on reviewing, evaluating and driving non functional requirements for testability to ensure accuracy
  • Performs automation to increase efficiency and decrease risk like log analysis, performance tuning, patch application, testing of production settings, incident response, and post-mortem analysis​
  • Supports in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning​
  • Debugs production issues across services and levels of the technology stack​
  • Manage end to end performance testing including identify scope and efforts/cost estimation
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business
  • Manages and leads the development and implementation of complete performance test strategies, plan
  • Designs and supports the implementation of best-in-class testing strategies for complex solutions, across multiple platforms and businesses/groups
  • Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance including capacity and memory usage
  • Ability to leverage virtual assets in testing cycles
  • Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability
  • Designs, develops, executes, and maintains testing strategies and plans to ensure stability and efficiency, enabling a seamless customer experience
  • Understand application design and architecture to determine performance/user experience impacts
  • Recommends approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and systems in the organization to improve overall efficiency and improve the bank
  • Communicates the overall quality of a deliverable and ensures metrics are used to drive delivery and identify any areas of concern
  • Drives the testing automation capabilities and performance and observability.
