OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
ZeroFox seeks
a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to support executive management in monitoring and reporting the financial health of our organization. In this role, you will play an active role in helping manage and oversee aspects of corporate accounting, internal controls, tax, revenue accounting, and financial systems, among others. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and filing all external financial reporting documents, related SEC filings and accounting for all revenue and equity-based transactions. Role and responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring consistent compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, timely recording of accounting transactions, proper maintenance of subsidiary ledgers, supporting schedules, and reconciliations, and managing the monthly close and worldwide consolidation
- Manage accounting for revenue recognition processes
- Produce and manage balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses
- Help establish and maintain internal controls
- Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
- Analyze and reporting cost variances
- Participate in preparation for audits
- Drive consistent global systems and business process standards
- Manage external auditors/partners
- Supervise, manage and develop accounting staff
- Coordinate and prepare quarterly (10-Q) and annual reports (10- K)
- Report and manage all equity-based transactions and equity compensation
- Perform technical accounting research and document new policies and procedures
- Maintain a quarterly reporting timetable; monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones
- Review and, where necessary, assist with the disclosures for subsidiary year-end financial statements.
Required qualifications and skills
- CPA
- Accounting leadership experience at sizable corporate accounting department, typically obtained in 10+ years
- SEC reporting experience, typically obtained in 3+ years
- Public accounting/big-4 and/or national auditing firm experience
- International/global experience
- Dynamic leader with presence, confidence, team skills and exceptional management and communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting best practices and ability to thrive in a rapid-growth environment
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High detail orientation
- Advance skills using MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software

- This position will report to the Controller
- This position may entail up to 10 % travel
- This role is based out of our office in Baltimore, MD
- This role requires occasional work on nights and weekends as needed.
- Work to be performed entirely outside of the state of Colorado (if location is various)
