Responsibilities
  • Handle day-to-day business cases in the area of air cargo shipments in accordance with the procedures for dispatching and delivering
  • Organize the admission of the shipments into the customs warehouse, export customs clearance, loading into the aircraft and the dispatching of shipments
  • Interface with customers / agents to take booking; coordinate shipments; troubleshoot issues; and provide updates on service disruptions etc.
  • Maximise profit and minimise costs; ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against job ensuring that the credit control policy is maintained at all times
  • Make rate offers to customers and partners where applicable
  • Interface with customers / agents to take booking; coordinate shipments; troubleshoot issues; and provide updates on service disruptions etc.
  • Communicate with clients on the status of their shipment
  • Use your knowledge and expertise to think outside the box to resolve potential shipment delays
  • Interact with our business partners across the cargo-partner network, agents, shipping carriers and customs bodies
  • Strengthen relationships with existing house accounts
  • Understand customers’ business and strategy and our role with the customer
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in software CARGO Wise and Thyme – IT beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience of Good Distribution Practice GDP , Aviation Cargo Security and Dangerous Goods Preferred
  • Ideally educated to degree level
