What is the role:

As a Principal SW Integration & Test Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to integrate and test communication systems, including User Equipment (UE), gNodeB, 5G Core, and NMS products. Leveraging your extensive 12+ years of expertise in testing Wireless Communications and Networking products, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems.
This position will report to the Director – Quality Assurance and work closely with Software, Hardware and Platform Engineering teams.
This position is based in our Arlington, TX office.

What you will do:

End-to-End System Testing Strategy:
Develop a comprehensive strategy for end-to-end system testing of the NTN communication system.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of all software and hardware components.

Test Case Design and Execution:
Create detailed test cases covering features, functions, performance, scalability, stability, and security.
Execute both automated and manual test cases, documenting results and recommending corrective actions.

Tool Evaluation and Recommendation:
Investigate and recommend new tools for development of the product.
Focus on test architecture infrastructure, design, and methodologies.

Mentoring and Support:
Mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and best practices.
Reproduce customer-reported issues and validate fixes.

What you will bring to the role:

12+ years of experience in testing Wireless communications and networking products (a must).
Must be able to demonstrate deep understanding of end-to-end signaling (UE to Core Network – Access Stratum and Non-Access Stratum) flow in 5G networks.
Strong expertise in 5G Core network components and functions.
Strong expertise in TCP/IP network fundamentals (L2 and L3 protocols).
Hands on experience with KVM (or equivalent), Kubernetes, and AWS (or equivalent).
Familiarity with Network Management Systems and FCAPS concept.
Knowledge of RF signal measurement and modulation concepts.
Familiarity with UE, gNodeB and Core Network simulator from Keysight/Viavi or equivalent, Signal Analyzer and Generator from R&S or equivalent.
Strong experience in Requirements Analysis, Test Planning & Strategy, Test Case Design, Test Execution and Management, Defect Management, Test Metrics & Reporting, Manual & Automation Strategy and Continuous Improvement.
Hands-on experience in Test Case execution, analyzing logs/traces/Wireshark, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in designing, implementing, and operating test harnesses.
Experience with various tools and applications: Test Management Systems (Zephyr/Test Rail), Confluence, Bug Tracking (Jira), Version control (GIT), and Continuous Integration (Jenkins).
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
Past experience with telecom OEM vendor is a plus.
