Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
  • 5-15 years of experience in FP&A for US government programs, including as a Cost Estimator, Pricing Manager, and/or Finance Manager.
  • MUST have experience at a US-based defense contractor for aerospace and/or military programs.
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured and rapidly scaling startup environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret complex data and financial concepts.
  • Effective communicator of financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identifies areas to instill discipline and process where appropriate.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities
  • Broadly responsible for budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, and with leadership of FP&A activities for government programs.
  • Deep collaboration with government sales, engineering and program management teams to build a detailed understanding of cash management, sales planning, operating costs, and capital spending.
  • Support rapid scaling and growth by implementing best-in-class processes, procedures and systems.
  • Create financial analyses to solve problems across Astranis, including pricing, corporate development, capital raising, investor communications, and other activities.

The company designs, manufactures, and operates low-cost telecommunications satellites, offering bandwidth-as-a-service to commercial and government customers.
