- Inspect incoming raw materials using sampling plans, approved engineering prints, and instruments and software within the inspection/metrology laboratory.
- Verify specified product or material dimensions through incoming and in-process inspections.
- Perform first-piece inspections and reporting.
- Prepare customer and supplier Production Part Approval Process dimensional layouts.
- Examine defective parts to determine the cause of defects.
- Inspect products against print specifications and conformance requirements.
- Maintain records of inspection and testing results.
- Assist with dock audits and process audits.
- Support quality and health, safety, and environmental objectives.
- Provide support to Quality, Production, personal protective equipment, and Maintenance teams.
- Use inspection tooling, including calipers, scales, optical comparator, micrometers, plug gages, microscope, and thread gages.
- Program and operate coordinate measuring machines.
- Maintain, control, and calibrate gages using Measurement Systems Analysis.
- Conduct process capability studies.
- Develop master bubbles and inspection plans, and ensure revision control.
- Ensure effective product containment activities when required.
- Organize on-site sorting activities internally or through third parties when required.
- Assist with GP-12 and Safe Launch activities.
- Support compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 / 45001.
- Three to five years of similar manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
