Requirements
  • Proven experience with CAT5e, fiber optics, and networking.
  • Familiarity with NEC, TIA/EIA, and BICSI standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints and site maps.
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions.
  • Ability to work extensively on the road for 6–8 weeks at a time.
  • Willingness to work on-call, early mornings, nights, and weekends as project requirements shift.
  • Ownership of basic telecommunications tools and personal protective equipment.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no DUI/DWI within the last three years.
Responsibilities
  • Install structured cabling, including CAT5e and fiber optic cabling, with neatness and compliance with bundling safety regulations.
  • Operate boom and scissor lifts to reach tight areas and elevated work areas.
  • Perform precision boom-lift maneuvering and voluntary vertical steel-structure climbing.
  • Work alongside advanced robotics and conveyor systems.
  • Participate in on-the-job training for closed-circuit television, Internet Protocol video, physical access control, and wireless local area network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with multiple trades to meet project timelines and scopes.
  • Follow company, customer, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Climbing school, climbing certification, and climbing gear experience or willingness to complete paid training.
  • Conduit installation experience.
  • Systimax, Panduit, or Corning certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
