Job Description
The College Business seeks a qualified Assistant Professor to teach Entrepreneurship and Management. This is a nine month, tenure-track position available beginning Spring 2024.
Responsibilities:
Teach three courses in Entrepreneurship and Marketing area, at undergraduate and graduate level per semester (mode of delivery may be a mixture of face-to-face and/or online). Graduate courses are offered on weekends and evenings during the week.
Produce high quality peer reviewed research publications. Present research at national and regional academic conferences.
Serve on college and university committees as assigned. Engage in student advising. Serve the university and professional community.
Required Education & Experience:
Ph. D. in Entrepreneurship or Management/Marketing or equivalent with an interest in teaching and research in Entrepreneurship.
ABDs in Entrepreneurship, Management/Marketing, or equivalent programs in the final stages of completion will also be considered.
Experience in teaching Entrepreneurship courses at College/University level is expected.
The ability to teach HR, OB, and Business Strategy for Management Ph.D. candidates or Retail Management, Sales Management, etc. for Marketing Ph.D. candidates will be desired.
Demonstrated ability to produce intellectual publications is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph. D. in Entrepreneurship is preferred, but a terminal degree in Management/Marketing or equivalent with 2 to 3 years of experience in teaching some Entrepreneurship courses at College/University level will be preferred.
A research portfolio with peer reviewed journal articles and an established future research agenda.
The ability to write successful research grants will be preferred.
