Requirements
  • A minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Five to eight years of experience in channel sales is required.
  • Experience managing distributors, third-party management, distributor management, and bazaar trade is required.
  • The candidate must be able to drive a four-wheeler for work and possess a valid four-wheeler driving license.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel 15 to 20 days outside the base location and up to 75% overall.
  • Knowledge of products and services, customer segmentation and channel management, account strategy and planning, customer relationship management, distributor management, customer profitability and value-chain understanding, and measuring and demonstrating customer value is required.
  • The candidate must comply with bp's Code of Conduct, Values and Behaviours, and HSSE standards.
Responsibilities
  • Drive profitable volume and revenue growth in the designated territory by implementing the company's sales strategy through distributors and retail direct accounts.
  • Develop a team of competent DSR, FMR, and SO personnel.
  • Ensure selling and service routines through distributors operate consistently.
  • Achieve revenue, reach, and profitability targets.
  • Drive customer advocacy among key retailers and workshops.
  • Drive adherence to World Class Sales Call at FDFT and ensure supply at FDFT.
  • Build capability and value while adhering to safe, ethical, compliant behaviour and distributor claim-management processes.
  • Conduct monthly distributor performance reviews covering prospects, at-risk accounts, scorecard metrics, and performance accountability.
  • Create action plans for underperforming scorecard metrics, identify gap-closing actions, and own execution of the plans.
  • Execute detailed regional sales plans focused on acquiring new customers through the indirect sales model.
  • Use customer relationship management tools daily to manage account relationships and build sustainable customer relationships.
  • Use Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, Castrol Insights, and TurfView for territory management.
  • Work with internal teams, the Smollan team, distributors, retailers, and mechanics.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is desirable.
  • Strong capability in leading people is desirable.

  • Systematic management through standardisation, clarification, and elimination of defects.

BP shares jump 2.1% as Q2 profit surges to $5.7B on oil rally and refining strength

BP's US-listed shares rose roughly 2.1% on Monday after the energy company reported second-quarter underlying replacement-cost profit of $5.7 billion, approximately $2.5 billion higher than the previous quarter and more than double the $2.35 billion earned a year ago. Higher commodity prices, refining, and trading contributed to the results. The company increased its dividend by 4% whilst reducing net debt by roughly $3 billion in the quarter. BP is pursuing divestments targeting $20 billion through 2027, including its US biogas operation Archaea. With Brent crude above $86, BP plans capital expenditure of $13.5 billion to $14 billion this year. At $42.66, the stock trades about 8.4% above its $39.34 GF Value estimate.

BP to acquire Woodside's 70% stake in Trinidad and Tobago Calypso gas project

BP has agreed to purchase Woodside Energy's 70% stake in the Calypso gas project offshore Trinidad and Tobago. The deal, expected to close by the end of 2026 pending approvals, will make BP sole owner and operator of Block TTDAA 14. The transaction includes cash consideration and contingent payments, though specific amounts were not disclosed. Calypso is an early-stage deepwater gas development located approximately 220km offshore in waters around 2,100m deep. Woodside CEO Liz Westcott said the divestment streamlines the company's portfolio. The sale will conclude Woodside's decades-long presence in Trinidad and Tobago. BP already serves as the largest natural gas supplier to Trinidad and Tobago's domestic market and holds a 45% stake in the Atlantic LNG facility.

BP reviewing TravelCenters of America after $1.3B buy as CEO pushes cost cuts

BP posts four-year profit high as it pulls back from renewables
