Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a combination of equivalent technical experience and education
  • Twelve (12) years of related PeopleSoft work experience and information technology experience; or Master's Degree and 7 years of PeopleSoft work experience
  • Must have Seven (7) or more years of PeopleSoft financials implementation/support experience in Functional lead/Functional Architect position, must include V9.2 experience
  • Experience with PeopleSoft modules: Procurement, Inventory, Project Costing, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Commitment Control, Contracts, and Asset Management
  • Strong proficiency with Functional Configurations and end to end business processes in PeopleSoft FSCM Ecosystem
  • Ability to write and execute SQL, PS Query and nVision
  • Experience in writing functional design specifications
  • Experience with PUM application
  • Prior experience on projects with federal, state, or local government is desirable
  • Ability to be on-site in Boston, MA on a quarterly basis or as requested by management
  • Demonstrated leader in delivering technical solutions for Oracle ERP PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management and ability to thrive in a team setting, quickly adaptable, and contributes high value to the project at hand
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills with executive business stakeholders, technical staff, application users, and third-party vendors
  • Ability to define, manage, and exceed business customer expectations
  • Work effectively with project team members, subcontractors, and business stakeholders in a diverse team environment demonstrating the ability to build consensus amongst project team members and key stakeholders
  • Able to prioritize and work on multiple tasks at any one time, while maintaining high quality standards
  • Demonstrated experience planning PeopleSoft ERP projects, creating project plans, maintaining project plans, and executing the project
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Senior Application Manager for the IT Finance Systems portfolio and business end users
  • Provide overall Solution leadership for the PeopleSoft ERP System
  • Gain understanding of current state Financial application architecture (Functional, Technical, and Integration) to provide solutions for current and new business requirements
  • Foster strong relationships with business end users, determine solutions to meet business' needs, and provide quality solutions for business problems
  • Exercise thorough and comprehensive software development methodologies to provide successful project designs, approaches, plans, and execution
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to elicit and formalize business requirements, functional specifications, business processes, business use cases/stories, and training requirements
  • Manage requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis sessions by scheduling, conducting, and facilitating with business stakeholders
  • Ensure business engagement throughout the project to foster quality work products and stakeholder confidence and trust
  • Develop clear and concise functional specifications, process maps, test plans, test cases, test scripts, training plans, and training manuals in a timely manner
  • Experience working through software development lifecycle over multiple assignments under aggressive timelines
  • Assist in activities related to functional/technical support, including but not limited to the approach design, development, and reconciliation of data as required into the MBTA's financial system of record
  • Provide guidance to Technical developers on application customizations
  • Provide best in class Functional Solutions that meets Business requirements
  • Identify developmental or design risks and maintain knowledge of current technologies and practices to assist with consulting initiatives
  • Review application configurations and Business processes to propose and implement process efficiencies
  • Review and implement new functionalities in Oracle PeopleSoft ecosystem
  • Coordinate with Oracle support team for product bugs
  • Perform peer review of all Functional configuration changes and technical enhancements prior to Production implementation
  • Participate in PUM and PeopleTools Upgrade projects to review new functionalities, perform fit/gap analysis and review workflow changes
  • Develop manuals, user guides, and updating policies and procedures to support data conversion
  • Work independently in addressing complex tasks in a time sensitive environment
  • Access and use work management tools to collaborate and document work products, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, Service Now, and Wrike
  • Escalate issues for business and IT management attention to resolve obstacles
  • Respond to each inquiry from internal or external resource in a courteous/professional manner
  • Conduct assigned work in compliance with all department standards, policies, and guidelines
