Visionist is bidding on an upcoming PRIME contract and, in anticipation of award, we’re seeking Test Writers to join our team at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. You will advance the future of maritime domain awareness by enhancing global ship tracking systems. You’ll leverage state-of-the-art analytics, multi-INT fusion, and cutting-edge technologies to detect and disrupt illicit activities at sea—including smuggling, trafficking, illegal fishing, and waste dumping—while also preventing terrorism, securing global commerce, and strengthening U.S. homeland defense. Your contributions are… 
  - Create and maintain technical documentation (guides, manuals, reports, and training materials)
  - Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language
  - Support program reviews with documentation and briefing materials
  - Review specifications, drawings, and samples to ensure content accuracy
  - Prepare visual aids (charts, graphs, forms) to accompany documentation
  - Manage document updates and revisions
  - Edit and proofread for clarity, grammar, and consistency

 

Requirements for your new career…
  - Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  - 2 years of experience in technical writing
  - Strong written communication and editing skills
  - Ability to simplify complex information for varied audiences
  - Detail-oriented, with experience creating supporting visuals and formatting documents

Salary range: $75,000 - $145,000
