The Operations Support I will be responsible for responsible for providing high level office support to copying, scanning, filing, data entry, document retrieval and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Responsibilities:
· Be able to identify different types of hospital documentation including, but not limited to, UB-04s, denial/approval letters, EOBs, Hospital account notes, medical records, itemized bills, and Hospital appeal letters.
· Perform general office duties such as typing, scanning, operating office machines, and sorting documentation.
· Ensure professional and HIPAA compliant documentation practices
· Maintain an understanding of how to utilize provider system platforms and obtain necessary documentation for case files.
· Be able to read UB-04 claim forms.
· Be able to read and analyze denial letters, account notes and remits to determine denial information.
· Utilize clinical guidance on compiling medical records.
· Identify and communicate appeal deadlines timely through knowledge of insurer timeframes.
· Update Quantum Appeals to ensure contacts/tasks are closed upon receipt of information requested and received, including identifying required documentation if incomplete and returning to appropriate person
· Meet all weekly performance standards and goals set by management.
· Address all follow ups promptly.
· Alerts/99s must be addressed within a day of receipt.
· Tasks/Contacts should never be more than 5 days old.
· Handle rush and high balance cases in accordance with office policy.
· Receptionist back up coverage – phone and front desk, if applicable
· Maintain and distribute company phone list as needed, if applicable
· Assist with projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Associates or technical degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.73 - $19.66 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
