Laundry Ambassador

Job Description

• To provide a courteous and professional service at all times Plan and prepare day to day work schedules for all Laundry staff.

• Collect and Count, sort and checks all guest items and uniforms received for dry cleaning, washing and pressing against accompanying lists, inspects for damages, stains, etc., separates and refers to superior all items with delicate materials that need special care and reports any defects noted.
• Marks all items according to room /uniform  numbers for easy control and issuance and send it for processing
• Compute amount to be charged to guest, prepare corresponding laundry/valet charge vouchers and send it to the Front Office cashiers.
• Assists the Valet runner when delivering guest laundry to the guestroom.
• Answers incoming calls in the laundry.
• Maintains ample stock of all office supplies and prepares requisition of chemicals and other cleaning equipment.
• Keeps laundry manager and team leaders informed of guest’s special instructions, services and complaints.
• To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
• To maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues, and all other departments.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and working area at all times

• Ensure cleanliness, proper handling and maintenance of work area and equipment.
• Ensures that at all times laundry equipment is kept in a clean state.
• Ensures that at all times the Laundry, as a whole is clean and organized.
• Ensures that the logbook is read on a daily basis.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of all food & beverage services, outlets and hotel services/features

• Be fully conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures

• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management

• Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times

• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times

• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
