TrueCare provides health care and wellness services in San Diego and Riverside Counties, focusing on underserved communities. It employs friendly staff and compassionate physicians who deliver care so people can get the services they need regardless of income or insurance status. The product is access to medical appointments, preventive care, and wellness services rather than a physical product. TrueCare’s model works by offering a network of clinics and care teams that provide medical visits, screenings, and preventive care to the local community, often with a sliding scale or other access options to reduce financial barriers. What sets TrueCare apart is its explicit mission to serve lower-income and uninsured patients and its emphasis on serving two specific counties with a community-centered approach. The company’s goal is to make health care available to everyone in the communities it serves, removing financial and logistical obstacles to care.

TrueCare raises over $500,000 at Illumination Gala

TrueCare raises over $500,000 at Illumination Gala. TrueCare, a nonprofit community health center serving North San Diego and South Riverside counties, hosted its annual ILLUMINATION Gala on April 18, 2026, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, raising over $500,000 in support of affordable, accessible, and high-quality health care. The evening brought together community leaders, sponsors, donors, and friends to celebrate this year's theme, Bright Beautiful Lives, which highlighted the impact of compassionate care and the importance of ensuring individuals and families have access to the services they need to thrive. "ILLUMINATION is a powerful example of what's possible when a community comes together around a shared purpose," said Michelle Gonzalez, CEO of TrueCare. "We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and supported this year's gala. Their generosity helps us continue expanding access to care and making a meaningful difference for the patients and communities we serve." Guests enjoyed signature cocktails, a gourmet seated dinner, and live music by San Diego-based singer-songwriter Jesus Gonzalez, along with a lively auction that contributed to the evening's fundraising success. During the event, TrueCare honored two extraordinary forces for good, the Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos, a long-standing community partner committed to supporting local youth, and Dr. Emerito Posadas, one of TrueCare's most trusted pediatricians and a champion for youth mental health. Funds raised through the ILLUMINATION Gala will directly support TrueCare's ongoing efforts to expand access to care for individuals and families in underserved communities. As demand for services continues to grow, these contributions play a critical role in reducing barriers and ensuring more people receive the care they need.
