  • Grow our shared business through client success. You will be critical in meeting commercial targets that drive top line growth. This requires establishing committed and trust-based partnerships with prospective clients to not only help them solve their immediate problems, but also to foresee future opportunities where our technology can make them more effective. Understanding our value proposition and articulating how we can have an impact on a client's problem set, from the executive level to the end user, is critical to positioning Area-I for the future
  • Shape our products to meet mission needs. Work side-by-side with prospective clients to understand their specific mission challenges and represent the client as you work with BD leads and engineers to shape offerings that solve critical national and international security challenges. Engineers rely on Growth Ops Engineers to understand the lay of the land and bring a perspective that informs the product development process
  • Collaborate across nearly every department and team. Successfully deploying our complex hardware and software products requires collaborating with nearly every internal team - engineering, product, logistics, finance, legal, contracting, technical operations, and many more. You'll be critical in helping to ensure that each party is engaged and informed and will therefore become well-versed in what it takes to really bring the best of our products to our clients
  • Embed: Work side-by-side with our BD team, understand their prospects' challenges and shape Area-I's product and services offerings to their specific mission needs. Manage complex requirements efficiently and precisely
  • Create: Understand both our products and the customer's need and capability gaps. Generate use cases and CONOPs that demonstrate how our products fill capability gaps and support mission success
  • Write: Draft white papers and support proposal development. Articulate Area-I's complex platforms concisely
  • Build: Work with engineers to plan for building relevant products for prospective clients' operational needs
  • Team Player: No task is too small. Embrace the startup life

  • Prior military or contracting experience can be helpful
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data
  • Experience with complex systems involving hardware and software
  • Experience with government business development, government contract structures, government proposal processes a plus
  • Experience managing complex technical projects in government a plus
  • Comfortable with working in limited resource environments
  • Comfortable with setting and achieving goals in a complex environment
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow
  • Ability to travel 25 - 50% required
