Requirements
  • Hold an MD degree, and must hold, or be eligible for, licensure in the Province of Quebec
  • Be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent)
  • Be certified by the Collège des médecins du Québec
  • Have completed specialty training in Emergency Medicine
  • Demonstrate a commitment to, and evidence of, high-quality teaching and inclusive pedagogy with a record of collegiality and synergistic collaboration
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Québec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary clinical care and actively participate in the teaching and supervision of learners at all levels, including undergraduate medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Engage in bedside teaching, participate in formal academic activities, and contribute to curriculum development where appropriate
  • Contribute to the advancement of academic emergency medicine in a dynamic, high-volume teaching environment
  • Participate in service and governance activities within the clinical department, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the broader university and professional communities
  • Participate in departmental committees, educational initiatives, and collaborative academic projects
  • Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in both clinical care and education, and foster an inclusive learning and working environment for diverse learner needs
