Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in Real Estate investment banking or Private Equity.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in all facets of the acquisition process including underwriting, due diligence, execution, and asset management across a full range of property types across the United States.
  • Provide leverage in the investment evaluation process across all property and transaction types; apply academic background and industry experience to assess investment opportunities.
  • Construct financial acquisition models and analytical tools to evaluate risk/reward and economic attractiveness of investments, including supply/demand analysis, competitive property positioning, regional economic drivers, and tenant diligence.
  • Incorporate inputs from brokers, advisors, consultants, research providers and other resources to help craft projection scenarios and assess investment return outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed Investment Memos to present the financial and strategic merits of transactions and key deal risks.
  • Present conclusions to deal teams and ultimately to the KKR Real Estate Investment Committee.
  • Observe senior deal team professionals in negotiation of transaction terms with counterparties and participate in internal discussions.
  • Assist in reviewing sections of key transaction documents, including Purchase and Sale Agreements, Loan Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements.
  • Help drive full scope of business, financial, legal and confirmatory due diligence through the deal closing process.
  • Assist senior members of the team in developing investment themes.
  • Interface and develop relationships with prospective partners, real estate brokers, and other market participants.
  • In collaboration with asset management teams, drive the execution of business plans and value creation efforts from deal closing through final disposition.
