Requirements
  • Coordinator B requires a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Fine Arts and 2 to 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Coordinator C requires a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Fine Arts and 3 to 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support divisional faculty coordinators in appointment, reappointment, and promotion processes for the listed Department of Medicine divisions.
  • Research, prepare, and vet extramural consultants and solicit peer references for promotion and senior-rank appointments of full-time faculty.
  • Prepare monthly Department of Medicine Committee on Appointments and Promotions meetings with the Director and Associate Director.
  • Assemble dossier packets and set up or assist with setting up BOX files for committee members.
  • Conduct preliminary or lead reviews of faculty searches, ensuring appropriate advertisements, adherence to University Faculty Search guidelines, and appropriate notations for candidates who were not selected.
  • Manage faculty position advertisements within Interfolio.
  • Orient, train, and coach new faculty coordinators on Faculty Affairs processes.
  • Manage academic appointment verification requests and obtain required divisional sign-offs.
  • Request access to FADS, FEDS, SharePoint, and e-RTR for faculty coordinators, division administrators, associate directors, and other administrative staff as appropriate.
  • Coordinate secondary appointments, reappointments, and promotions with other Perelman School of Medicine departments and serve as liaison to the Office of Academic Affairs.
  • Support central departmental Faculty Affairs processes, including routing, reviewing, and communicating about appointment, reappointment, and promotion documents.
  • Maintain frequent interaction with Department of Medicine division coordinators.
  • Produce essential academic documents by assembling appointment, reappointment, and promotion dossiers and tracking progress through the University review process.
  • Manage teaching onboarding requirements for new faculty and ensure completion of teaching modules before initial reappointments.
  • Perform faculty reporting to maintain required Faculty Affairs support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
