Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a health-related field and a minimum of five years of experience with strong knowledge of quality and performance improvement, or a master's degree in a health-related field and three years of healthcare experience with strong knowledge of quality and performance improvement.
  • Computer and Internet skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, are essential.
  • Experience with Just Culture is required.
  • Ability to work rotating or weekend shifts and overtime as required.
  • Ability to travel as needed to various sites across South Carolina to meet with key stakeholders related to the quality and safety program.
Responsibilities
  • Collect relevant quality data, analyze and assess data, disseminate data and information with relevant stakeholders, benchmark performance, and lead multidisciplinary teams to improve performance based on goals.
  • Collect and present performance information to relevant oversight and governance groups.
  • Lead and oversee all quality assurance and performance improvement and regulatory/accreditation activities for the Surgical Specialty and Spine Integrated Clinical Care Environment.
  • Monitor and collate patient safety events in collaboration with operational leaders and work with the Risk Management department to facilitate event reviews and appropriate after-review actions.
  • Work with Integrated Clinical Care Environment leadership to collect, monitor, track, and improve patient-reported outcome measures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Patient Safety.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and Six Sigma certification.
  • Certification in Just Culture.
  • Experience with the Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Surgical and/or ambulatory medical experience.
