Position Overview:
The Director, Business Development will focus on identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities.
Note: This role can be based remotely, strongly favoring candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area or California.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling clinical trial software to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, specifically randomization and trial supply management (RTSM) software.
- Develop territory and account plans.
- Identify prospective new customers.
- Establish an organized and methodical approach for prospecting.
- Understand the eClinical marketplace and RTSM competitive landscape.
- Establish and maintain client relationships while prospecting for new opportunities.
- Educate customers on the value of Endpoint Clinical and our solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and log all activities in our Salesforce customer relationship management system.
- Communicate activities and coordinate sales pipeline with sales leadership.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients about the Endpoint Clinical solutions.
- Facilitate the development of quotes and proposals with the support of the sales operations and solutions team.
- Participate in various trade shows and conferences.
- Travel will be required to meet with customers, as well as attend company meetings and tradeshows.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience
Experience:
- 4+ years of software, eClinical technology, or pharmaceutical services-related sales experience.
- Proven track record of success in business-to-business sales.
