Consultant, IT Infrastructure

We’re a team of experts optimizing the performance and integrity of IT infrastructure and ensuring consistency and synchronization across all infrastructure components. Alongside supporting new and existing applications, we work with other IT groups and business units to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

What you’ll achieve

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing services and processing that deploy, update, and maintain infrastructure supporting the Dell Digital Cloud. You will work with various organizations and your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our infrastructure through zero-touch deployment methodologies. You will tackle tough problems while constantly seeking opportunities that drives forward thinking and progress.

You will:

• Lead the design and implementation of zero-touch provisioning and deployment solutions for various infrastructure components
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts and templates to automate deployment processes
• Design and implement automation workflows and integrate deployment automation with CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and seamless delivery of infrastructure
• Skillfully lead and manage complex and highly critical programs and initiatives
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to the team

Essential Requirements

• 10+ years Systems Administration / Engineering of virtualized infrastructure and / or cloud services
• Proven technical leadership and experience in infrastructure deployment, automation
• Production experience with cloud configuration automation (e.g. Ansible, Salt, Vagrant, Terraform, Puppet, etc.)
• Strong background with scripting/programming skills, and experience with CI/CD practices and tools

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and experience (Advanced degree preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with Dell server, storage, networking systems

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $168,300- $217,800.
