Requirements
  • Relevant retirement and investment consulting or institutional investment experience across industries, with 15 or more years of experience.
  • A proven track record of driving sales and revenue growth in consulting or professional services, including profit and loss or net operating income contribution.
  • Strong client relationship experience at senior levels, including the C-suite, with demonstrated success winning and retaining large engagements.

Responsibilities
  • Drive practice revenue growth and achieve sales targets within the Mountain States market.
  • Own the sales pipeline by growing its size and maturity, leading proposals, and converting opportunities into revenue.
  • Manage key client relationships and lead high-value engagements, ensuring strategic, high-quality consulting delivery that supports client retention.
  • Manage a book of business as a client-facing investment consultant, advising clients’ staff, investment committees, and boards on investment strategy, governance, portfolio construction, performance, and risk.
  • Execute go-to-market and long-term business strategies that expand market presence and service offerings.
  • Represent Mercer through thought leadership, publications, and industry events to elevate the practice.
  • Oversee business growth initiatives and practice operations, including pipeline management, accounts receivable, profitability, and client retention.
  • Partner with the Consulting Team Leader, Client Office, and other practices to optimize staffing, capacity, and cross-sell and referral opportunities.
  • Build an engaged, inclusive team culture; recruit, develop, and retain talent aligned to the firm’s long-term vision.
  • Use AI and technology-enabled tools in the work environment.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
