Requirements
  • Must be a United States citizen and able to obtain an interim Secret clearance while holding and maintaining a final Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • An associate's degree or a minimum of three years of supply or inventory experience demonstrating independent analysis and decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple online databases to diagnose issues, apply judgment, and provide timely and informed responses to customer requests.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and self-directed approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Research, evaluate, and strategically catalogue materials supporting procurement and inventory or warehouse management.
  • Identify materials using part numbers, descriptions, technical specifications, and comparable or substitute National Stock Number items, and determine the appropriate sourcing path.
  • Query complex databases to interpret and correlate material descriptions, resolve discrepancies, and advise customers on specification requirements.
  • Analyze, validate, and synthesize data from Federal Supply Source Databases, including WebFLIS, Haystack, NSSP, One Touch, FedMall, DLA Disposition, GSAXcess, GSA Advantage, and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning.
  • Identify Depot Level Repairable items, guide customers on Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures ordering actions, and provide technical guidance on complex classifications.
  • Develop, review, and submit cataloguing data to the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Business Office while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governing standards.
  • Identify and catalogue Federal Stock Class assignments and determine accurate classifications for new materials.
  • Screen and evaluate customer requests for Operating Materials and Supplies, determine when materials should enter inventory, and create or approve stock numbers, including National Stock Numbers and Unique Material Master records, for material movement transactions in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning.
  • Analyze local Operating Materials and Supplies availability and provide recommendations and data supporting operational planning and material readiness.
  • Lead updates to standard operating procedures and process guides and recommend policy changes when necessary.
  • Develop, validate, and provide metrics for financial and operational reporting to leadership, determining data relevance and reporting structure.
  • Perform and oversee daily Navy Enterprise Resource Planning transactions to maintain accurate asset records within required timelines and resolve complex issues.
  • Execute and manage daily Navy Enterprise Resource Planning actions, including updates and issue transactions, while identifying errors, mitigating data inconsistencies, and maintaining system integrity.
  • Lead training for technical customers on property-screening and material-management processes, develop instructional materials, and ensure adherence to program standards.
  • Serve as the primary interface with technical departments, government points of contact, subject-matter experts, inventory specialists, procurement analysts, the Personal Property Manager, Organizational Property Administrators, and the Container Control Officer, providing expert guidance and decision support.

  • Knowledge and experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning tool.
  • Experience screening and analyzing material requirements in databases including the Federal Logistics Information System, Haystack, Navy Logistics Library, One Touch, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning, IBPES, FedMall, GSA, and One Touch Support.
  • Experience creating and validating Unique Material Master records in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning.
