A Day in the Life
Drive long term cross-business growth, exceed customer expectations, and
differentiate Medtronic from the competition via effective planning and execution in the areas of HSS.
A Day in the life:
- Provide Healthcare Service/Solution Consultancy, oversees consulting projects that involve strategy development, organizational restructuring and management of the business to maximize efficiencies.
- Works with senior management of companies to determine long-term goals by analyzing the client’s business and making recommendations for changes and improvements.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).Health Systems Strategies
- Build and maintain a “trusted advisor” relationship with key contacts in targeted Enterprise Accounts that complement the Commercial Sectors’ (CS) relationships and creates a competitive advantage for Medtronic.
- Work closely with local Medtronic colleagues across all Commercial Sectors (CS) in order to help align interests among multiple customer segments and levels in Enterprise Accounts.
- Drive the successful planning and execution of programs and strategic initiatives, in collaboration with the CS’s, in order to achieve long term cross- business growth in targeted Enterprise Accounts.
- Conduct and lead the Regional Leadership Team Council to establish a regional business plan capturing priorities, strategies, tactics and metrics that will monitor and define excellence in execution and success.
- Ensure effective development and execution of account plans for targeted Enterprise Accounts using SAMA knowledge, skills, tools.
- Ensure effective planning and execution of regional QBRs.
- Ensure effective planning and execution of Customer Business Reviews within targeted Enterprise Accounts (Tier 1 & Select Tier 2 Accts: 4x/yr, Tier 2 Accts: 2x/yr).
- Ensure effective regional planning and execution of the organization’s top market access/development priorities within targeted Enterprise Accounts.
- Ensure proper mapping, tracking & compliance of key contracts and tenders within Enterprise Accounts.
- Ensure the setting, tracking & achievement (via dashboards) of key performance metrics within Enterprise Accounts.
- Anticipate changing market conditions and business needs and drive thoughtful, well coordinated Medtronic of Canada value propositions segmented customers.
- Provide strategic input and consultation to all CS’s with respect to RFP bid strategy and contract negotiations. Participate directly in contract negotiations with GPO’s and SSO’s where appropriate.
- Take action on opportunities to make Medtronic easier to do business with and facilitate the rapid transfer of best practices across businesses in order to better meet changing customer needs.
- Interact and work closely with other departments including Clinical Research, Healthcare Economics, Marketing Communications, New Partnerships and Solutions, IBP, etc. where required.

Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience and 7+ years of managerial experience.

JOB EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience with a bachelor’s degree or
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience with advanced degree.
• Experience in leadership role within medical devices or related industry
• Experience building and leading high-performance teams toward high impact results
• Experience working in a matrix organization preferred.
• Experience working with decision makers at multiple levels of healthcare institutions,
government authorities and advocacy groups.
