Requirements
  • Experience in assembling/disassembling furniture systems preferred. (3 years – 5 years in furniture repair, assembly)
  • Experience in basic furniture repairs. (ex-arm/caster/pneumatic cylinder, 3 years – 5 years in furniture repair, assembly)
  • Basic computer skills. (Basic)
  • Possesses a high level of environmental, health and safety mindset. Ability to perform work in a safe manner.
  • Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.

Responsibilities
  • Responds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance relating to furniture systems and furniture repairs.
  • Furniture locks and furniture repair.
  • Removal, disposal and delivery of furniture.
  • Assembly of furniture systems.
  • Ensures work order requests are completed on time ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures quality adherence is maintained.
  • Ensures that activities are performed in accordance to established processes as well as internal and external requirements.
  • Performs regular walkthroughs to provide observations about furniture condition and deficiencies and offers recommendations for enhancement and repair.
  • Oversees sub-contractors to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Participates in facility-related projects.
  • Maintains work order records within service management maintenance database.
  • Follows Company procedures to ensure safe environment, personal safety and safety of others.
  • Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required. Submits all expenditures on a timely basis.
  • Participates in training, safety meetings, operational meetings, toolbox talks, etc.
  • Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.
