Requirements
  • Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication or Computer Science (post-graduate studies are a bonus) and 10+ years core telecommunications network experience
  • General working knowledge of telecom networks like 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G NSA / SA
  • Subject Matter expert in the areas of Mediation (CGF), Charging (OCS / CCS), Policy (PCRF / PCF) and telecom billing
  • Excellent knowledge of 3GPP policy and charging specifications along with southbound interfaces such as Diameter Gx, Gy, Gz, Ro, Rf, CAMEL, TAP-In, N5, N7, N40, N28
  • Hands on experience working with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD, ElasticSearch and Kafka
  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong writing and documentation skills are needed to develop design artifacts, presentations and status reports
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and delivery of products and services required by our brands to effectively monetize telecommunications services in their markets
  • Manage BSS cloud native functions including Meditation, OCS / CCS, PCRF / PCF, Retail and Enterprise Billing
  • Develop and implement BSS solutions, CI/CD pipelines, performance and fault management metrics using Kubernetes, AWS EKS and other cloud based technologies
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with each one of our BSS vendors
  • Explore new features and functions and present to the management team for roadmap inclusion
  • Architect and document the BSS high and low level design artifacts, covering all major use cases for:
  • Real Time, Near-Real Time and Offline charging models
  • Consumer / M2M charging models 2G/3G/4G/5G RAT support
  • QoS and Gated Control policies
  • VoLTE, Mobile Broadband interactions
  • Session and Event based charging procedures
  • Telecom mediation
  • Retail & wholesale billing, dunning cycle management, bill formatting and provisioning
  • Taxation support
  • Mediation and back office integration into Revenue Management, Fraud Management, Analytics and Reporting
  • Northbound integration into commercial product catalog, CRM, and other OMNI channel assets
  • Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for the BSS systems
  • Prepare for production deployments
  • Track capacity and resource utilization of the various systems and prepare plans for expansion
  • Highlight project issues and propose suggestions to help improve current processes
  • Provide training to stakeholders such as NOC, customer care, marketing, product and engineering teams
