Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field is required.
  • Two to four years of experience in an Engineering Systems Administration, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Technical Operations role within a Software Engineering organization is required.
  • Hands-on experience administering Azure DevOps, including project configuration, pipeline management, access control, board structure, and area path management, at a depth sufficient to independently resolve platform configuration issues is required.
  • Experience managing feature flag platforms, including flag lifecycle governance, environment management, SDK integration health, and flag hygiene practices, is required.
  • Familiarity with database migration tooling and versioning practices, including migration script standards, CI/CD pipeline integration, and migration execution monitoring, is required.
  • Demonstrated active use of AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code in day-to-day technical work, including AI-assisted scripting, platform analysis, or documentation production, is required.
  • Experience managing access controls and user provisioning across engineering platforms with an understanding of least-privilege principles and compliance evidence requirements is required.
  • The role requires organizational discipline and attention to detail to manage multiple platform domains simultaneously, maintain configuration hygiene, and track open items.
  • Clear written communication skills are required to produce accurate and usable platform documentation, enablement guides, and configuration records.
Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day administration of Azure DevOps across the Engineering organization, including organizations, projects, teams, repositories, pipelines, boards, area paths, iteration cadences, and access controls.
  • Manage Azure DevOps user provisioning, permission models, and access reviews while enforcing least-privilege principles, auditing access, revoking unnecessary access, and documenting compliance evidence.
  • Monitor Azure DevOps platform health, usage patterns, and adoption metrics to identify configuration drift, underutilized capabilities, permission anomalies, and platform improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as the escalation point for Azure DevOps configuration issues, diagnose platform-level incidents, work with Microsoft support when required, and resolve disruptions.
  • Use AI tools for platform analysis, pipeline configuration review, access audit summaries, and platform documentation.
  • Own LaunchDarkly administration and governance, including projects, environments, user roles, access controls, SDK integrations, API configurations, and webhook connections.
  • Administer feature flag lifecycle governance by enforcing creation policies, naming conventions, targeting rules, retirement processes, and cleanup standards, and identifying stale or misconfigured flags.
  • Partner with the Release Workflow Manager and Engineering teams to configure and sequence feature flags within release cycles and support progressive delivery and controlled rollouts.
  • Monitor LaunchDarkly SDK integration health, identify evaluation errors, SDK version drift, and integration anomalies, and resolve issues before they affect release operations.
  • Build and maintain LaunchDarkly enablement resources, including flag hygiene guides, SDK integration references, targeting configuration patterns, and best-practice documentation.
  • Own Flyway administration and governance, including versioning conventions, environment-specific configurations, and migration execution monitoring.
  • Apply and enforce database migration standards, including script naming conventions, version sequencing, migration review checklists, and rollback documentation standards, and identify deviations before production promotion.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to ensure Flyway migrations are authored, reviewed, and promoted according to release workflow standards, validating lower-environment execution and rollback documentation.
  • Monitor migration execution health across environments, including migration history outcomes, failure patterns, and schema state.
  • Implement automation improvements to the database migration workflow, including CI/CD pipeline steps for migration validation, execution monitoring, and failure alerting.
  • Own provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration governance of Cursor and other AI-assisted development tools across the Engineering organization.
  • Manage licensing, seat allocation, and renewal tracking for Cursor and related AI tooling.
  • Establish and maintain Cursor configuration standards, including workspace settings, AI model configurations, extension integrations, and data-handling policy compliance.
  • Monitor AI tool adoption and usage, diagnose tooling friction and onboarding deficiencies, and design enablement interventions.
  • Evaluate Cursor updates, new capabilities, configuration practices, and emerging AI development tooling, and provide recommendations to the Engineering Systems Manager.
  • Use Claude Code and Cursor for automation scripting, platform analysis, configuration review, and documentation production.
  • Maintain, publish, format, and distribute Engineering standards documentation for coding conventions, branching strategies, pull request practices, code review requirements, and tooling usage.
  • Own the standards repository and keep documentation organized, consistently formatted, discoverable, and updated when standards change.
  • Monitor Engineering standards adherence across teams and bring data-backed observations to the Engineering Systems Manager and relevant Engineering Managers.
  • Coordinate the onboarding standards experience for new Engineers by maintaining environment setup guides, tooling provisioning checklists, and standards orientation materials.
  • Support standards retrospectives by collecting adherence data, synthesizing team feedback, and preparing retrospective materials.
  • Maintain access control governance across Azure DevOps, LaunchDarkly, Flyway, and Cursor by executing provisioning and de-provisioning requests and maintaining access records.
  • Conduct and document regular access reviews, identify over-provisioned accounts, stale access grants, and policy violations, and resolve them with the Engineering Systems Manager and Security team.
  • Support SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST 800-53 audit readiness by maintaining platform configuration records, access inventories, and change histories.
  • Partner with the Security team on access-related incidents, policy enforcement, and configuration hardening requirements.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate access reviews, compliance documentation, configuration audits, access inventory analysis, and compliance evidence summaries.
  • Identify and eliminate manual administration toil by building automation scripts, pipeline integrations, and workflow improvements.
  • Build and maintain internal enablement resources, including training guides, how-to documentation, FAQs, configuration references, and onboarding materials.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting for Azure DevOps pipeline health, LaunchDarkly SDK evaluation errors, Flyway migration failures, and AI tooling provisioning issues.
  • Track platform health, adoption metrics, support request trends, and standards compliance across administered systems.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex platform configurations, cross-platform integrations, and large-scale automation initiatives, owning technical decisions end-to-end.
  • Drive cross-platform automation strategy across Azure DevOps, LaunchDarkly, Flyway, and AI tooling, including automation architecture and implementation.
  • Contribute to the Engineering standards program by drafting standards, reviewing proposed changes, identifying standards gaps, and producing standards documentation.
  • Mentor less experienced Engineering Systems Engineers through platform configuration reviews, structured feedback, and guidance on automation and documentation quality.
  • Provide technical depth for platform architecture decisions by evaluating tooling, integration approaches, and configuration tradeoffs and producing recommendations.
  • Lead the team's AI tooling strategy by evaluating AI platform administration tools, piloting AI-assisted workflows, and establishing team best practices.

The updates include an AI Claim Summary tool, a Book of Business Transfer solution and an enhanced Pay-As-You-Go workflow. The updates include new capabilities for AI-driven claims analysis, bulk policy transfers and payroll-based billing, aimed at reducing manual processes and improving operational efficiency. The new AI Claim Summary solution uses generative AI to extract and structure claim data, providing a consolidated, real-time view of claim activity, including policy details, involved parties, loss events and financial information. The company says the capability is designed to help claims professionals manage high volumes of data, enabling faster and more consistent decision-making. Origami Risk has also introduced a Book of Business Transfer solution that allows insurers and brokers to move large volumes of policies through a governed bulk process, reducing the need for manual reassignment and minimizing errors and compliance risk.
