Sim Studio builds a visual platform to create, deploy, and manage large language model (LLM) workflows. Its core product Sim provides a drag-and-drop, node-based interface to connect 100+ tools and models (including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini) for designing AI agents, with Sim handling the orchestration. It differentiates itself with a Figma-like visual design, an open-source self-hosted option under Apache-2.0, and an approach that combines MLOps, workflow automation, and AI orchestration in one platform, available as cloud or self-hosted deployments. Goal: help software teams prototype, validate, and scale AI-powered systems quickly and visually.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Sim raised $7 million Series A in November 2025 from Standard Capital.
  • GitHub shows 29,155 stars and 3,722 forks by July 2026, signaling developer pull.
  • The latest release, v0.7.39 on July 18, 2026, shows rapid shipping.

What critics are saying

  • n8n and other orchestration tools can copy Sim's canvas UX within months.
  • Open-source users can self-host for free, limiting pricing power and ARR expansion.
  • If GitHub growth stalls before 2027, Sim becomes a feature, not a platform.

What makes Sim unique

  • Apache-2.0 lets enterprises self-host Sim without seat caps or resale restrictions.
  • Sim combines visual workflows, 1,000-plus integrations, and multi-LLM orchestration in one canvas.
  • GitHub shows active development, with 2026 updates and a large open-source community.
