Requirements
  • 2-4 years related experience in extrusion of plastics processing industry
  • Technical training related to industrial maintenance of production equipment
  • Effective communication in English and French
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, both alone and as part of a team
  • Flexibility in regard to manufacturing environment work schedules (weekends, overnights, 12-hr shifts)
Responsibilities
  • Sets up, runs, and adjusts extrusion equipment per specialized standards on multiple pieces of machinery and/or processes
  • Set up and operate extrusion equipment to produce plastic and fiber products according to specifications
  • Performs quality checks and examines product for defects and size variations
  • Fills out production documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems as needed
  • Take action to ensure quality limits and efficiency targets are met
