The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and exceptional individual to join the Document Cloud Mobile team, located in San Jose. We’re a creative and collaborative group that builds applications used by millions of customers working with billions of documents. The accelerated transition to digital workflows presents tremendous opportunities for our Adobe Scan mobile application. As a developer in this organization, you will have the opportunity to work with other world-class developers to deliver on this opportunity. The Adobe Scan mobile team is part of the larger Adobe Document Cloud, an integrated environment for working with documents across desktop, mobile, and web.
A successful candidate will become a key contributor on a team with high technical standards. You will provide creative solutions and have an attention to detail, with excellent opportunity for ownership and influence on product, business, and technical direction.
What you’ll Do
- Design and develop new features and experiments that drive engagement and new revenue for the Adobe Scan application (Android).
- Collaborate with product management, design, and other developers to build features that enrich the Document Cloud ecosystem.
- Own features focused on engagement, retention, and subscription sales.
- Work as part of a diverse and dynamic team to craft and validate code for mobile applications.
- Grow with the support of your team and help others on the team grow by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting those around you.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team, with clear, positive, and constructive communication
- Engage directly with users to assess problems and understand issues they may be experiencing.
What you need to succeed
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in software engineering, including experience developing, shipping, and maintaining mobile applications.
- Strong technical background and analytical abilities in software design, implementation, and problem solving
- Knowledge and experience in Android development (Java or Kotlin).
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, solving problems and overcoming challenges as they arise.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bonus: Experience working in C++
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $124,000 -- $234,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
