Requirements
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of combined experience as an Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent is required.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various locations are required.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices is required.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam is required.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project scheduling software is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse, multidisciplinary groups is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of assigned construction projects and all work on site.
  • Develop schedules and cost-effective completion plans for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating instructions and assignments through project forepersons as appropriate.
  • Prepare construction schedules and look-ahead schedules.
  • Inspect work regularly for quality and timeliness, prepare progress reports, and recommend necessary modifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspection agencies, Owner representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure project intent and Owner expectations are met.
  • Ensure contract documents and code requirements are followed.
  • Ensure all required permits are obtained by the appropriate parties.
  • Lead Quality Control and Quality Assurance efforts.
  • Complete daily reports and ensure subcontractors complete daily reports.
  • Prepare site logistics plans.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and ensure the four-week look-ahead schedule is prepared and accurate.
  • Manage all aspects of project safety.
  • Mentor subordinate team members.
  • Lead the construction team and manage Assistant Superintendents.
  • Manage projects in the $5 million to $10 million range.
  • Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure project timelines, site orderliness, quality standards, equipment availability, and material availability support the project schedule.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory, MEP, or commercial projects is preferred.
