Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer in your practice jurisdiction
  • 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, though more is welcome
  • Experience negotiating customer agreements, preferably at a B2B SaaS/technology company
  • Familiarity with GDPR and the privacy issues arising in cross-border SaaS licensing strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills are absolutely essential; the ability to explain complex issues at the right level of detail to different groups
  • Strong client service orientation, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to perform well under pressure
Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts (sales and services agreements, data processing agreements, and ancillary documents) with strategic/enterprise and mid-market customers
  • Lead customer-facing legal negotiations in partnership with the Field Sales team
  • Develop and contribute to templates, forms, and playbooks to streamline legal-sales collaboration, and support legal enablement of the Field Sales and Renewals teams
  • Take on additional Product & Commercial matters as needed, including supply & channel partnerships, feature licensing, and inbound license agreements
  • Contribute positively to the culture of the Trip legal team and the company as a whole
