Kontakt.io launches universal dispenser module to cut hospital infections by up to 55%

Kontakt.io has launched a Universal Dispenser Module for its Hand Hygiene solution, enabling hospitals to alert clinical staff to sanitise before patient contact using any existing dispenser brand. The module attaches to mechanical or automated dispensers without requiring infrastructure changes. Healthcare-associated infections affect nearly one in ten patients globally, with over 680,000 cases annually in US hospitals resulting in more than 70,000 deaths. The WHO estimates that every dollar invested in hand hygiene improvement recovers approximately $24.60 in reduced treatment costs. The real-time location system detects when clinicians approach patient rooms and triggers alerts if dispensers haven't been activated. Research shows automated RTLS-based monitoring increases compliance by 25% or more, with associated reductions of up to 55% in certain infections.

HIMSS26, Las Vegas: Kontakt.io Unveils AI "Curiosity Engine" That Turns Hospital Data Into Decisions - In Minutes

HIMSS26, las vegas: Kontakt.io unveils AI "Curiosity Engine" That turns hospital data into decisions - in minutes. Mar 04, 2026, 11:11 ET New solution acts as a thinking partner for executives, circumventing old BI teams' time to outcomes from weeks to minutes NEW YORK, March 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Kontakt.io is introducing Curiosity Engine at HIMSS26, an AI-native solution designed to help hospital leaders question their own cross-domain data, simulate resource allocation changes, and rapidly gather decision-supporting facts. Curiosity Engine ingests and analyzes hospital data across clinical, operational, and scheduling systems, unifying fragmented data sources into a single intelligence layer and reducing decision-making cycles from weeks or months to just minutes. The typical hospital generates about 50 petabytes of data each year, yet approximately 97% of that information is never analyzed due to fragmented systems, manual processes, and long analytics cycles. Curiosity Engine resolves this issue by unifying data silos into a single contextual intelligence graph, enabling intelligent reasoning over massive volumes of data. To promote trust and transparency, Curiosity Engine provides a confidence score with every response, indicating the strength of the underlying data and analysis. Curiosity Engine meets the strictest HIPAA security and privacy requirements, ensuring PHI is isolated and not used for model training outside your health system. "Hospital leaders don't have a shortage of data; they have a shortage of insights," said Rom Eizenberg, CRO of Kontakt.io. "Curiosity Engine acts as a thinking partner for executives, allowing them to challenge the status quo, validate hypotheses, and understand the downstream impact of decisions in minutes instead of weeks, fundamentally changing how leaders engage with their data." Curiosity Engine extends the Kontakt.io platform beyond day-to-day operations and into the strategic decisions that shape how health systems scale, invest, and evolve. To learn more about Curiosity Engine, view the video here, stop by our HIMSS26 booth (#1961), or book a one-on-one meeting. Kontakt.io Introduces Supply Chain AI to Transform Care Support Operations

Kontakt.io introduces Supply Chain AI to transform care support operations. Feb 04, 2026, 11:11 ET Agentic AI integrates EHR and RTLS data to automate equipment workflows and improve operational efficiency, centered around patient care journeys NEW YORK, Feb. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Kontakt.io today announced Supply Chain Agent, a new agentic AI solution that uses real-time demand signals to proactively orchestrate medical equipment across inpatient care settings. Inside hospitals, equipment management remains fragmented and manual. Supply chain teams may know what assets exist and where they are, but clinicians often do not. Studies show nurses spend 21 to 60 minutes per shift searching for equipment, time that could save up to $14 billion annually in reallocated nurse productivity (source: HIMSS). Even when assets are tagged, coordination remains an issue. Equipment is often unevenly distributed, siloed by unit, wing, or facility. As a result, hospitals may purchase or rent equipment they don't actually need. Supply Chain Agent is designed to improve operational efficiency by predicting equipment demand before it materializes and automatically orchestrating the actions required to meet it. The launch comes as hospitals continue to face persistent supply chain challenges. Kontakt.io's Intelligent Orchestration Platform was built to help health systems eliminate friction in care operations. Its dynamic intelligence layer analyzes live hospital data (including patient, department, census, and acuity) to predict real-time care needs across care settings. The Supply Chain Agent uses this intelligence to take the next step, turning these insights into execution. Instead of just showing where assets are, Supply Chain Agent determines where they need to go and orchestrates the work required to get them there, scheduling and prioritizing tasks in real time. "Matching hospital demand and supply shouldn't be guesswork; it's reactive, expensive and inefficient," said Rom Eizenberg, Chief Revenue Officer at Kontakt.io. "Supply Chain Agent fuses EHR and location signals to predict demand, orchestrate the next best action, and ensure the right equipment reaches the bedside before anyone has to search for it." Supply Chain Agent is being piloted at leading U.S. hospitals. To learn how the solution improves equipment orchestration, view the video here. To explore measurable impact from day one, schedule a demo and stop by our HIMSS booth (#1961). Kontakt.io launches AI to cut hospital stays and unlock $7M per year for 200-bed facilities

Kontakt.io has launched Patient Flow Agent, an AI-powered solution designed to help hospitals reduce patient length of stay and improve operational efficiency. The platform combines real-time location system data with electronic health records to provide clinical context and predict care progression needs. The solution identifies interventions to accelerate patient discharge and optimises hospital flow by predicting bed availability, discharge timing and resource requirements. According to the company, 22% of US inpatient hospital days are not clinically necessary, representing potential savings of $4 million annually for a 200-bed hospital, plus an additional $3 million in revenue. Several leading hospitals are currently piloting the technology. The launch comes amid increased US hospital capacity pressures during the ongoing influenza epidemic.
