Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or six years of demonstrated successful sales experience.
  • At least five years of medical device industry experience selling physician-preference therapies in hospital settings, including three years selling to interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, and vascular surgeons in hospital, operating room, or catheterization laboratory settings for peripheral artery disease and chronic limb-threatening ischemia patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish new medical device therapies effectively.
  • Experience with peripheral arterial and/or venous disease, including knowledge of anatomy, pathophysiology, and available therapies.
  • Ability to proctor and support endovascular interventions in a catheterization laboratory.
  • Understanding of wound care management as it relates to managing chronic limb-threatening ischemia patients.
  • Ability to work in operating rooms, catheterization laboratories, vascular suites, or other clinical settings while consulting with clinicians.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively to drive results.
  • Experience mentoring and training sales representatives and clinical specialists.
  • Demonstrated successful management of the hospital Value Analysis Committee process to approve new products.
  • Ability to use and implement technology applications, including Salesforce, to manage a territory and provide weekly progress updates to senior management.
  • Business acumen and ability to perform sales, clinical, reimbursement, and training functions.
  • Ability to lift or carry more than 20 pounds and wear required personal protective equipment in hospital settings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically by plane and car, up to 60%, with extended overnight travel.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all commercial activity within a defined territory.
  • Lead territory sales activities and provide patient-implant clinical support while interfacing with internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales process.
  • Interact with physicians and purchasing decision-makers throughout the assigned territory through phone, email, video, and on-site visits.
  • Make presentations and represent the company at conferences, seminars, and symposia to increase market awareness, knowledge, and interest.
  • Communicate and collaborate with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
  • Execute the full sales cycle, including opportunity prioritization, accurate forecasting, technical-sales qualification, sales-process execution, customer-presentation preparation, professional follow-up, and goal attainment.
  • Track and report sales activities through the company's customer relationship management system.
  • Drive lead-generation activities through continuous review and refinement of methodologies.
  • Develop and demonstrate comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as necessary to support organizational success and positive customer experiences.

Stryker completes first hip surgery using FDA-authorized Apple Vision Pro app SportSuite Vision

Stryker has completed the first surgical procedure using its FDA-authorized SportSuite Vision application on Apple Vision Pro at Duke Health. The hip arthroscopy was performed by orthopaedic surgeon Dr Chad Mather III at the academic medical centre. SportSuite Vision received FDA De Novo authorization on 17 July, making it the first application approved for intraoperative use with Apple Vision Pro. The technology allows surgeons to view arthroscopic video, HipCheck, HipMap and CT imaging within their field of vision during procedures. The spatial computing application aims to reduce reliance on traditional monitors positioned throughout operating rooms. By bringing multiple data sources into the surgeon's field of view, it supports a more streamlined and ergonomic surgical workflow during complex arthroscopic procedures.

Stryker to acquire ZuriMED's rotator cuff augmentation technology for shoulder portfolio

Stryker has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ZuriMED, a privately held developer of the FiberLocker System for rotator cuff repair. The commercialised soft tissue augmentation technology is designed to provide increased biomechanical strength and reduce clinical failure in rotator cuff procedures. According to Stryker, the acquisition will strengthen its shoulder portfolio and expand support for shoulder specialists across sports medicine and arthroplasty. Rotator cuff augmentation is described as one of the fastest-growing areas in sports medicine and a significant opportunity in shoulder care. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Stryker and ZuriMED will operate as separate entities until closing is complete.
