Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Genetics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline with 0-2 years relevant experience; or Masters with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelors with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of full-time, hands-on NGS experience in an academic or industrial setting

  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity and deliver high-quality results
Responsibilities
  • Deploy high- and low-throughput NGS library preparation strategies for bulk, single-cell, and multi-omic applications
  • Create NGS libraries from single cells, tissues, and isolated DNA/RNA to further ArsenalBio research and discovery
  • Assist in troubleshooting problematic library preps and sequencing issues
  • Establish novel NGS methods to extract new types of information from research and clinical samples
  • Help oversee the operation and maintenance of numerous Illumina instruments
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in storing, tracking, and analyzing NGS data
  • Participate in cross-functional collaborations with multiple groups to advance broad company goals and objectives and assist in the design of genomics projects
  • Contribute NGS expertise, leadership, and technical guidance to cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Advance NGS technology utilization and understanding across the company
  • Work closely with computational biologists to interpret NGS data
