Requirements
  • Certification to operate hydraulic rough terrain cranes.
  • Ability to operate at least one or more of the listed equipment types: 15-ton, 18-ton, 35-ton, 50-ton, or 65-ton hydraulic cranes, and friction rigs.
  • Ability to learn and understand work-related safety hazards and safely operate tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in plant operations or construction jobsite settings.
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply, and communicate work instructions, plans, specifications, company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply measurement, estimation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, restricted-access areas, and elevated locations when required.
  • Ability to move, position, push, pull, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather and site conditions.
  • Ability to maintain concentration, situational awareness, attention to detail, and sound judgment in changing work environments.
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret load charts.
  • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials should be placed.
  • Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities for tools and equipment.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, including checking fluids, refueling, adding fluids, and assessing component wear.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed.
