About the role
As ISO’s business analyst, you will be working closely with the leadership team as the dedicated resource to analytics at the company. Success in this role means helping leadership identify and make data-driven decisions regarding opportunities you’ll uncover in your day to day function. Projects will range from the highly strategic to operational including building a scalable reporting infrastructure, evaluating market opportunities, supporting product growth strategies, sales pipeline analysis and regular review of key performance metrics. The role requires interaction with various areas of the organization and provides daily exposure to senior executives, including the founders. The successful candidate will possess a passion for extracting insights from data and converting ideas to action.
What you’ll do
- Work as a trusted advisor to leadership on strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue, sales productivity, and operational efficiency
- Evaluate ongoing business performance to support day-to-day operations, execution and success
- Provide insights into growth levers for accelerating revenue, and operationalize new ideas through the creation of processes and workflows
- Triage and troubleshoot operational issues and optimize processes/infrastructure/systems for scale
- Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover root causes of customer pain points and work with business partners to drive process improvements
- Perform detailed data investigation and data validation in our systems to ensure data is captured and transformed correctly
- Proactively identify interesting data points, develop hypotheses and generate insights to help ongoing improvements of our services and processes
- Collaborate well with other technical and non-technical partners to accomplish project objectives
What you have
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel skills are required. Looker experience and Salesforce skills are a plus
- Strong business acumen, able to identify and articulate key business requirements with business partners
- 3+ years as a Logistics Analyst at a top-tier 3PL or Freight Tech solution
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to translate data into insights and actions
Nice to haves
- Experience in the early stages of a fast-growing startup
- Experience with R, Python, Looker (or similar analytical packages) a plus
