Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise IT, or systems integration roles is required.
  • Strong experience in network architecture, including local area network and wide area network design and implementation, is required.
  • Proven experience in IT/OT integration in industrial or complex environments is required.
  • Experience working with project delivery teams, preferably within engineering, procurement, and construction or large-scale project environments, is required.
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, policies, and compliance requirements is required.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT standards, architecture principles, and enforcement practices is required.
  • Experience coordinating with centralized or global IT organizations is required.
  • Good knowledge of IT/OT security standards and protocols is required.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination capabilities are required.
  • A valid driver's license and passport, either a Canadian passport or a passport with a United States visa, are required.
  • The candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • The candidate must be able to use computer programs including Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project Control, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Navisworks, Aconex, SharePoint, Borealis, and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure operation IT infrastructure delivered by project teams is fit for operations, including reliability, maintainability, and supportability.
  • Participate in infrastructure design reviews, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and operational readiness assessments.
  • Provide formal validation and acceptance from an IT operations perspective.
  • Ensure a smooth transition and handover from IT infrastructure projects to IT operations.
  • Ensure operation IT infrastructure complies with Group IT architecture, cybersecurity, and identity and access management standards.
  • Coordinate and obtain required approvals for network design, security architecture, and system onboarding.
  • Support cybersecurity assessments, risk reviews, audit readiness, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure supports integration and interoperability across IT, OT, and telecommunications systems in alignment with enterprise architecture, IT/OT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure secure architecture, including network segmentation and controlled data flows.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, integration specifications, and technical standards.
  • Drive standardization, scalability, and long-term maintainability of systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of infrastructure stability and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with global IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage external partners and vendors to ensure IT infrastructure architecture design supports data provision, IT/OT system integration, and data exchange while aligning with enterprise standards and operational requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, or CompTIA certifications are an asset.
  • Experience working with engineering, procurement, and construction or large-scale project environments is preferred.
  • Experience working with large multidisciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.
