Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
  • At least 5 years of combined experience across production planning or scheduling and materials planning or material requirements planning.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a production schedule and the material plan supporting it, rather than solely transactional or expediting experience.
  • Strong enterprise resource planning or material requirements planning system experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MRPeasy, IFS, or Epicor.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis, with the ability to build and maintain key performance indicator dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, cross-functional communication, and prioritization skills, with the ability to operate with real decision authority in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Own and publish the rolling 12-week production plan for the assigned value stream or customer program.
  • Manage weeks 1–4 at execution-grade detail, including daily and weekly sequencing and work-center loading, and weeks 5–12 at capacity and material-pre-positioning detail.
  • Translate customer demand, program milestones, and business priorities into an executable schedule across the value stream's work centers.
  • Continuously reconcile the plan against actual performance, including schedule attainment, work in process, and throughput, and adjust ahead of potential misses.
  • Evaluate capacity against demand with the Production Operations Manager or lead, including staffing, overtime, and shift needs.
  • Hold sequencing and release authority within the agreed freeze window and escalate exceptions.
  • Own material requirements planning execution for the value stream using bill-of-material-driven demand, supplier lead times, on-hand inventory, and on-order inventory.
  • Maintain forward material readiness across the 12-week horizon and maintain a live green, yellow, and red material tracker for the value stream's programs.
  • Identify shortages and constraints before they threaten the plan and drive resolution with Procurement and Materials Management.
  • Own the Clear-to-Build determination and readiness gate before work-order release.
  • Partner with the Production Operations Manager or lead as the planning counterpart in the daily and weekly operating rhythm.
  • Participate in floor walks and huddles to identify emerging risks firsthand and develop GEMBA practice with Operational Excellence and Operations teams.
  • Share accountability with the Operations Manager or lead for schedule attainment and on-time delivery outcomes.
  • Direct and prioritize the day-to-day work of the assigned Production Control Technician, including transactional execution and material tracking.
  • Partner with Materials Management across warehousing, cycle counting, inventory health, goods receiving, yard management, and material delivery to align material flow with the value stream's plan.
  • Co-develop and pilot pull replenishment and line-side stores using kanban, min/max levels, and visual triggers.
  • Provide demand and consumption signals for replenishment sizing and tuning, validate performance, and iterate as production-rate requirements change.
  • Maintain planning-data integrity in the enterprise resource planning, material requirements planning, and shop-floor systems of record, including schedule dates, bills of material, routings, and inventory data.
  • Build and maintain dashboards covering schedule attainment, material availability, shortage aging, on-time delivery, inventory health, and Clear-to-Build status.
  • Report key performance indicators and risks in the weekly Production Planning and Execution review.
  • Lead root-cause analysis on schedule misses, shortages, and planning gaps, and drive countermeasures through verified effectiveness.
  • Support standardization of planning practices across value streams with the Production Control Manager.
  • Sequence and release work orders within the agreed freeze window when material, capacity, and quality are aligned.
  • Trigger call-offs against blanket orders and initiate kitting or staging requests to the Warehouse.
  • Make and communicate the Clear-to-Build determination for the value stream.
  • Escalate cross-value-stream resource conflicts, capacity shortfalls beyond the value stream's control, and material risks that could breach a customer commitment.
Desired Qualifications
  • APICS, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, or Certified Supply Chain Professional certification.
  • Experience with IFS Cloud, StartProto, and/or MRPeasy enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience supporting fabrication, welding, structural or mechanical assembly, electrical integration, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing kanban, pull systems, or line-side store replenishment.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other data-visualization tools.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and daily management systems.
  • Experience with a manufacturing execution system or shop-floor execution system, such as StartProto or an equivalent.

GTI Fabrication is a manufacturer of purpose-built modular structures for energy storage, data centers, defense, and industrial uses. Its in-house capabilities cover design, fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, and deployment support. The company builds containerized and modular systems to customer specifications at U.S. manufacturing facilities.
