Workday Project Manager

The Workday Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage Workday Finance and IT related projects. The role will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. Responsibilities will include managing the semi-annual Workday releases for Financials functionality, integrations arising from business building activities, supporting, and enhancing FINS controls related to systems, and assisting with the prioritization of Workday support tickets.

• Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, specifications, timelines, and staffing.

• Manages assigned projects to ensure adherence to the schedule and scope.

• Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports to affected staff and stakeholders.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the insurance industry.

• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.

• Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.

• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• At least 3 years of project management experience required, preferably within the financial services sector.

• Familiarity with Workday Financials preferred.
