Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Diesel Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Instruct and evaluate student performance in diesel and heavy equipment technology in electrical and electronic systems and emissions, engine assembly and overhaul, fuel injection troubleshooting, , preventive maintenance, and/or on-site power generation.
  • Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students.
  • Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
  • Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.
  • Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.
  • Contribute to betterment of College through School committee participation.
  • Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the betterment of the College through College-wide committee participation.
  • Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and with follow-up activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • AED and ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Duty Truck in one or more areas: engines, suspension/steering, brakes, electronics/PM/HVAC and drive train or will attain by the end of the first year of employment.
  • Teaching experience on the secondary or postsecondary level.
