Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the line manager and provide engineering leadership for the assigned project or projects.
  • Set the strategy for engineering setting out and on-site control, including coordination with subordinates and the supply chain.
  • Apply dimensional-control practices and rotate global grids into local grid format.
  • Ensure that site and graduate engineers take responsibility for managing survey equipment.
  • Ensure that the engineering team completes as-built surveys for key elements.
  • Understand key tolerances and analyse details across multiple interfaces to identify potential problems.
  • Complete an individual daily diary.
  • Apply quality-control principles across project packages.
  • Review and create Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of concrete, drainage, steelwork, and brickwork packages.
  • Monitor project specifications, including tolerances for vertical and horizontal structural elements.
  • Control components of the Sisk Non-Conformance procedure.
  • Create and close out non-conformances, understand the cost of defects and remedial works, and close out non-conformance reports promptly.
  • Issue permits to break ground.
  • Review and create method statements and risk assessments.
  • Identify missing information and use the project request-for-information process.
