Requirements
  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • At least two years of experience in requisitioning material and tracking and maintaining accountability of material and equipment is required.
  • Practical knowledge of Department of the Navy logistics infrastructure, tracking codes, and federal supply classifications is required.
  • Competency using military database architectures to track high-value parts, audit material chains of custody, and adjust stocking criteria is required.
  • Experience with Navy database systems, inventory reconciliation modules, and data analysis software to oversee complex technical data pipelines is required.
  • Written and oral communication abilities commensurate with the role are required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • The ability to understand, speak, read, and write English is required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, government representatives, and outside contacts is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team, are required.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state of employment and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
  • The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods is required.
  • The ability to twist, bend, and squat periodically is required.
  • The ability to work in high noise levels and potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, mist, and fumes is required.
  • The ability to maintain a Secret-level security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for the Secret clearance at this location.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the logistics team handles critical, high-value components, assemblies, and specialized equipment.
  • Monitor task backlogs and amend priorities based on urgent weapon assembly schedules.
  • Ensure that logistics activities conform to Naval supply mandates and Strategic Systems Programs directives.
  • Conduct database searches and reconstruct complex data records to resolve inventory discrepancies, cataloging drifts, and system-wide supply shortfalls.
  • Reconstruct supply transactions, investigate inventory discrepancies, and update Naval material databases such as enterprise resource planning and local tracking programs.
  • Process high-priority supply requisitions, track critical material shortages, and expedite orders to support time-sensitive weapon assembly and training schedules.
  • Conduct stock counts, manage storage allocations for specialized components, and coordinate the issuance and replenishment of unique line items.
  • Unpack, verify, barcode, and scan incoming specialized equipment against procurement listings before staging it for industrial use.
  • Interface with weapon test divisions, range controls, and vendor representatives to advise on local supply procedures and status-tracking metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management is preferred.
