Requirements
- A preferred bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline, with equivalent experience considered.
- Experience in construction accounting, project accounting, or general accounting is preferred.
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and general accounting theory is required.
- Familiarity with construction accounting software and project-based financial systems is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting tools is required.
- Strong communication skills are required to partner effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking, organization, and cross-functional collaboration are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct financial support to project teams throughout the construction project life cycle.
- Partner with project managers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting, contract compliance, and timely financial reporting.
- Study owner and subcontractor agreements to interpret contract terms.
- Process subcontractor invoices and pay applications.
- Manage compliance documentation and support monthly owner billings.
- Allocate costs appropriately, monitor budgets, resolve billing or compliance issues, and ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with contract requirements.
- Manage subcontractor billing and compliance, track project costs, and support owner and subcontractor billings.
- Safeguard financial performance through accurate, compliant, and responsive financial support.
