Job Summary: Reporting to the Body Shop Manager or designated manager, the Quality Assurance Coordinator assures the quality of the Body Shop process “First Time Right” is applied by shop employees. The QAC lead also creates individual assignments for techs, communicates production goals, and leads the designated areas. Is also the first point of contact for the Techs and Clerks.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Provide excellent Leadership:
Identify the strengths of techs and clerks to effectively create their assignments within the shop process.
Inspect the work done by the techs to meet the production goals.
Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition by greeting others.
Ensure proper techniques and procedures are being implemented by shop employees.
Effectively communicate and maintain great relationship with clients and vendors.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Report all incidents to management immediately.
Assist the designated manager or supervisor in developing, coordinating and training all employees within the department in accordance with company policy and guidelines.
Monitor training conducted to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures
Assist the designated manager or supervisor in monitoring and controlling conditions of all facilities, vehicles, property and equipment under Body Shop control for proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety
Perform Body Shop services:
Document the stock number, vin number, model, make, of each vehicle as well as the customer. Then log information into the V-Trace program.
Track shop production.
Return customer’s vehicles in clean condition.
Order parts by contacting preferred vendors as well as alternatives.
Track received and returned items to insure correct billing and or credits.
Other:
Properly complete all work documentation and entering it in the computer program.
Advise the designated Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately.
Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to the Manager.
Practice and promote company Core Values.
QAC Responsibilities and Skills
Clerical- Ability to use a computer and calculator. Timekeeping and documenting times for shop employees, Inventory of the vehicles is logged on V-trace.
Analytical- Ability to perform basic math.
Communication- Interpersonal skills to communicate with employees and members of management. Bilingual-preferred.
Drive- Ensure employee are following company policy and procedures when operating vehicles.
Safety – Assist maintaining safety and procurement documentation as example AQMD.
QAC Qualifications:

Potential – running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations
This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards, such as electrical current , moving mechanical parts, exposure to hot equipment and cleaning and pesticide chemicals; and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
