Senior Engineering Manager

We are entering a new age for financial services. Legacy banking products are built on old, decaying technology while new experiences are being constructed from the ground up.

You will recreate how people are meant to build wealth. Bitcoin is enabling a world that could not previously be designed, and you will be the builders’ builder, empowering a team of passionate developers to deliver the best experience to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure engineers are productive, happy, learning, and doing meaningful work
• Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish technical and product goals
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
• Interview and hire the best and brightest software engineers
• Mentor engineers and help cultivate their career aspirations
• Lead a foundational, multi-discipline team of engineers working on complex, full-stack projects with wide impact across the company
• Build or integrate frameworks promoting experimentation and safe release of new features into mobile and web applications
• Work with multiple teams across the company including product, design, legal and customer support
• Get your hands dirty: review code and spend some of your time coding with the team, contributing to their efforts
• Contribute your fair share of memes to our #dev-null slack channels

Must-Haves

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in management or leadership roles and at least 2 years of experience leading leads.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in high-growth environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to align cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js, Typescript, React-Native, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Datadog
• Experience with building financial apps
• Bitcoin knowledge
