  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of experience in technical writing, intelligence analysis, or related field, preferably within a DoD or IC mission environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written intelligence reports, assessments, and technical documentation tailored for senior leaders and operational decision-makers
  • Experience synthesizing technical and operational data into actionable written products supporting mission planning and execution
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key insights and present them clearly in written formats for diverse audiences
  • Excellent command of grammar, style, and clarity, with a track record of preparing intelligence products, white papers, or briefings under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with classified document handling, reporting standards (e.g., IC writing style, DoD templates), and secure communication protocols
  • Proven experience supporting Intelligence and National Security missions through technical writing, analytical reporting, or documentation of operational procedures
  • Authored or co-authored intelligence reports, situation updates, SOPs, or technical briefs delivered to senior military or interagency leadership
  • Experience collaborating with analysts, operators, and technical SMEs to extract key mission details and document them in structured formats
  • Developed or maintained documentation supporting intelligence systems, platforms, or tools—including system overviews, maintenance guides, and user instructions
  • Experience writing for both classified and unclassified audiences while adhering to security guidelines and review processes
  • Comfortable working in high-tempo, multidisciplinary environments with evolving priorities and operational constraints
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required
Responsibilities
  • Technical Documentation Production: Develop and maintain manuals, reports, proposals, briefs, catalogs, and standard operating procedures to support installation, operation, and maintenance of systems and technologies.
  • Research & Information Gathering: Study blueprints, sketches, specifications, production activities, and technical data to determine relevant operating procedures and technology functions. Interview subject matter experts to extract technical insights.
  • Writing & Content Organization: Draft, edit, and finalize documentation that aligns with established guidelines for clarity, terminology, and structure. Ensure written content supports end-user needs and mission objectives.
  • Publication & Content Review: Review and revise existing publications for accuracy, relevance, and completeness. Recommend changes to improve documentation effectiveness, format, and delivery methods.
  • Visual Integration & Layout Support: Select and integrate diagrams, charts, sketches, or photos to enhance reader understanding. Assist with layout, formatting, duplication, and dissemination of materials as required.
  • Records Management & Revision Tracking: Maintain documentation repositories, version history, and records of edits. Ensure consistent formatting and traceability of published content.
  • Communications Support: Develop public affairs material, employee communications, and other written content as assigned, including speeches and press releases, when needed.
